After a warm-up and chi self-massage we will do Iron Shirt Qigong together. The class will be guided through this series of standing structures, uniting breath with movement and including positions to relieve back pain, improve posture, strengthen the legs and promote relaxation.
There will be a demonstration of a short Yang-style Tai Chi form, before guided practice of the opening movements to feel the difference between Qigong and Tai Chi. These smooth flowing movements are wonderful for improving our balance and coordination, and relaxing the mind.
