HAMPTON COURT PARK WALK + RIVER CRUISE

Leisurely walk around Hampton Court Park (free entry) of around 3 miles. Hampton Court Park is a walled deer park of around 700 acres in area. One of the main features of the park is the Long Water which runs roughly eastward from the back of Hampton Court Palace. At the eastern end is the Golden Jubilee Fountain. Picnic lunch alongside the river or Pizza Express before boarding the Thursday 14.30 boat service to Staines-upon-Thames.

We will enjoy 14 miles of magnificent sights along the way before arriving at Staines at 17.45. (Return by bus or train) There is a 458 bus that departs Staines bus station at 17.55 to Kingston however whether we can catch this depends on our boat arriving on time. The boat fare is £ 11.80 single way from Hampton Court with French Brothers. Either book in advance through their website to guarantee a space or take a chance and pay on the day. This is the last but one cruise for this year.

some of us are planning on returning by bus. The 216 runs approximately every half hour between Staines and Kingston and is only a few minutes walk away from where we disembark. The boat arrives at Staines at 17.45

How do you plan to return to Hampton Court - and what time would we get back - or am I missing something?! Thanks.
