Well this is your chance! Join us for a fun informal session where you will learn the basics of climbing, try your hand (and feet!) at a few routes and experience the exhilaration and sense of achievement when you reach the top. Have you climbed indoors but want to try outdoor climbing? Then Sandstone is a great place to begin! Or perhaps you have climbed outside before and just want to meet others to climb with? Then this is the prefect opportunity to meet a few like minded people. We offer discounts if you book as a group or family. Indoor Climbing at Tonbridge Sports Centre

Tonbridge School Centre

This climbing session is only for those who are already competent belayers. There is no instruction, so you need to have already done an outdoor course with me or to have learned elsewhere. (If you are interested but not yet a belayer then please contact me as beginner courses are available.) The wall at Tonbridge School Centre is just over seven and a half metres high and twenty metres wide with a great variety of routes from grades 3C to 7A - there is plenty to choose from for all levels of climbers and includes horizontal slabs, interesting feature walls, plus a substantial overhang to conquer. All routes can either be top roped or lead climbed. The session is every Monday 7pm - 9pm and is available for anyone aged 11 years and over who are able to belay and tie a knot safely. If you are interested but are not yet competent at belaying then please let me know as there are also beginner courses available. The session costs £9.50 payable at reception on arrival. A discount is available if 10 sessions are paid for upfront. The cost includes use of harness, rock boots and belay devices so all you need to bring is yourself! We have a small regular group of very friendly participants and if you come on your own we will ensure you have someone to climb with.
