Mike Babb, a solar consultant for Geopeak Energy, will be presenting a detailed inside look at the solar industry and its implementation in NJ. Join us as you will be taken on a journey that will include education on what solar is, how it works, the impact it has on you and your community, the various financial incentives that NJ offers and how you can make a difference for your community.
Whether you are new to solar or have been researching it for a while you will have the rare opportunity to get the inside track on this booming industry.
Geopeak Energy has a few installations in Jersey City already including the new array they are putting on the community center roof of SJC's innovative demonstration partner site St. Paul's.

Michael Babb, Senior Energy Consultant for GeoPeak Energy, NYC
Bio –
Michael Babb is a Senior Energy Consultant for GeoPeak Energy. During his tenure Mike has helped take Geopeak Energy from a small start up to the 33rd top ranked Solar contractor in the US ( During the 4th quarter of 2011 Mike was the top consultant in the US for Sunpower. Mike specializes in large scale residential systems and lays claim to the three largest high efficiency systems in the state and the largest in the country.
Mike graduated from William Paterson University, he spent a number of years in the financial industry, first in municipal bonds followed by the banking industry. He attributes his shift to renewable energy as the safest investment in these turbulent times. Mike believes that his love of solar stems from his shining personality.

New Venue Added For Downtown Meetings – Indiegrove, 1 block from the Grove St. PATH
Uptown Meetings – Culinary Conference Center, 1 block from the Journal Sq PATH
SJC is transitioning its Monthly Small Work Group Team Meetings to a
new Monthly Meeting Experts Talk format, starting with our July 2nd meeting.

• These events will now include a learning opportunity for the community as we host green industry colleagues and some of our education partners to share perspectives on how to make Jersey City a more sustainable place to live and work. It will also include a hospitality component where we will highlight local food establishments and their commitment to healthy food options for our community, offering a tasting menu and drinks.
• We will continue to host these events on the 1st Tuesday of EVERY month and now, we will be alternating our Monthly Meeting venues between the Indiegrove Coworking Space offices down- town, a short walk from the Grove St. PATH, and the Culinary Conference Center @ Hudson County Community College, which is a short walk from the Journal Square PATH. July, September, November’s Monthly Meetings will be at Indiegrove and SJC thanks them for coming on board as our newest sponsor.
