How can the SDGs help to deliver a National Park City?

Details

In Spring 2019 London will become the first National Park City with the ambition of making the city radically more green, healthy, wild and getting many more people active outdoors.

Join this SDGs Network MeetUp to participate in the conversation and give your views and ideas on how to bring London National Park City to life in your local community. We are looking to have a discussion grounded in real actions that can be taken to achieve this and make progress towards the Sustainable Development Goals. To frame the discussions we have the following speakers to help us:

Dan Raven-Ellison, guerrilla geographer, explorer and founder of London National Park City Campaign.

Agamemnon Otero, founder of Energy Garden and CEO of Repowering.

Larissa Lockwood, Head of Air Quality at Global Action Plan, sharing how they mobilised members of the public in UK’s biggest air quality campaign, Clean Air Day, earlier this summer.

We are keen to have your feedback and ideas to how the SDGs can help to make ambitious grassroots efforts a success and how the vision for such efforts can be applied in other cities in the world. Dan and the London National Park City Campaign are currently working on a Universal Charter for National Park Cities, an inspirational document for other cities in the world which also can become National Park Cities, and your valuable input have the potential to feed in to this important work.

We look forward to seeing you on the 18th!
