No host, Elfin Forest Del Dios
*NOTE* Many of the ride leaders are off doing the Lighthouse Century this weekend so this will be a no host ride-I'm sure you can find groups to ride with and there will be those who know the route but just in case, if anyone does not know the route they should try to download it or print cue sheets. **NOTE** As always ride safely no more then 2x2, dont pass if it is not safe, call out objects or cracks in the road to those behind you, and stop at all stop signs and traffic lights. Beginning in coastal Encinitas, this ride warms up along the coast highway, heads inland to climb out to Elfin Forest Road, then follws rollers the rest of the way around the loop before returning for a coastal finish between Solana Beach and Encinitas. C and D groups: http//[masked] miles,2400' elevation gain E group: Kim Z will be leading an E ride of appx 30 miles route TBD. OUR START TIMES WILL BE SLIGHTLY AFTER 8:00 We will be taking off at staggered times AFTER the faster Swami's groups leave. We will leave around 8:15. It is probably a good idea to still get there around 8 or so, especially if you want to enjoy a snack pre-ride or load up on gels at Nytro. NOTES: Please bring an extra tube, CO2 cartridge or hand pump, and enough fluid and snack(suggestion: two bottles minimum for the longer rides, and two snacks) Helmets are always required, and we obey all traffic laws. Road bikes are highly recommended for these routes.

What we're about

Welcome to Swami's Team Fun !

Our goal as a group is to grow the positive vibe in the cycling community, with a specific focus on building support for the women’s cycling community. We ride "for the love of the ride", and whether you are a beginner or a seasoned rider, we have the riding group for you. We love variety, adventure, and challenging each other to new accomplishments through support in a non-competitive environment.

Join us for our group rides. We offer three guided group ride levels, and all rides are regroup:

Advanced: Fast-paced, longer rides generally >40 miles with average speeds on flats >20 mph and average pace times over hilly routes >15 mph. Minimal stoppage times, less frequent regrouping.

Intermediate: Moderately-paced, mixed length rides (30-50 miles) with average speeds on the flats in the 16-18 mph range with emphasis on building climbing skills, not necessarily hammering those hills. Set stoppage points and time-lengths to allow for differing speeds, but will be limited to keep the pace.

Beginner: Slower-paced, shorter rides (25-35 miles) with average speeds in the 12-15 mph range with an overall emphasis on building riding skills: using your gears, pacing, riding safely in traffic. The Beginner rides are always “no drop” meaning the group will wait for those who are falling behind.
