Upcoming events (5+)

4th of July in SF (picnic, live music & fireworks)

Let's go to the Aquatic Park (Beach St x Polk St) and have ourselves a picnic, listen to the live music and watch the fireworks! Optionally, some folks can go check out the activities at Pier 39. ^^^^^ This social activity is FREE for Meet More You members (if you're not a member signup for FREE & rsvp here, https://meetmoreyou.com/events/event.html?i=141&frm=1). Non-members must pay $20 (cash only at the event). ^^^^^ What does everyone need to know? Bring food and/or drinks to share, a blanket to sit on, sunscreen or hat, and a jacket for the evening. Bring cards or board games. NO football, frisbee or dogs - the lawn will be packed with people. It's important to get there early in order to be able to find a spot on the lawn. 6 pm starts the live music concert sponsored by The City of San Francisco. About 9 or 9:30 pm starts the fireworks display. In between we'll have our picnic, eat-drink-laugh, meet-mingle-socialize, play games and enjoy the music, and for the restless folks: walk over to see the festivities at Pier 39. NOTE: traffic and parking will be really bad. I recommend you take public transport and give yourself extra time. Plan your route with https://511.org or https://maps.google.com. And hang around for at least 1 hour after the fireworks to let the traffic die down. How can everyone find you once they get there? Meet in front of the SF Senior Center promptly at 5pm. We'll do a quick meet & greet for 15-20 minutes while we wait for others. Then well go find yourself a spot on the lawn. If you miss us at that time you can try to look for us (I will be wearing my cowboy hat) but know that it can be very difficult with thousands of people on the lawn. Also, we cannot "hold space" for you once the crowds start coming in. Everyone is responsible for themselves. See you there! - Dao

Sunset Saturday at First & Last Chance Saloon

Heinold's First and Last Chance Saloon

Enjoy the beautiful weather, cheap drinks and Jack London Square while making new friends at this historic saloon. Optionally, bring food/snacks to share. We will be sitting outside. Sunset is around 8:30pm. Afterwards, we can take a stroll down beautiful Jack London Square and maybe stop at Plank to have drinks by the fire pit. The pub in its original form was a preserved building from 1880, built from the remnants of an old whaling ship at the foot of Webster Street in Oakland, where it remains today. Watch your first step as you enter the saloon. The floor (as well as the bar) is very slanted and the clock on the wall has stopped at 5:18, the time of the 1906 earthquake. This social is FREE for Meet More You members (if you're not a member, signup for free and RSVP at https://meetmoreyou.com/events/event.html?i=146&frm=1). For non-members it's $10 (cash only at the event).
