• SydCSS December - Wheel of Talks

    Online event

Can you believe it’s time for the final SydCSS of the year?! In what seems to be becoming a bit of a tradition for our December meetup, we're bringing back the Wheel of Talks™. Our presenters won't know what they'll be talking about until they've spun the wheel, then they'll have 20 minutes to prepare something awesome for you. Event starts at 7:30 pm. Livestream on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6xUl2IbgjLQ BYO food, drink, and pets 🍔 🍹 🐶 🐱 (we love seeing pics on Twitter of y’all watching the live stream with your pets!) Our brave speakers are: 🎤 Dominik Wilkowski @wilkowskidom A design systems architect, tabs indenter, likes to wear a suit when it’s inappropriate to wear a suit, organiser of @DesignSystemSyd, @codeheartdesign, he/him 🎤 Phil Nash @philnas | https://philna.sh Phil is a developer evangelist for Twilio and a Google Developer Expert living in Melbourne, Australia. He loves working with Ruby or JavaScript to build web applications and tools to help developers. He once helped build a website that captured the world's favourite sandwich fillings. He has too many GitHub repositories and you can find him working on some of them live on Twitch. Away from the keyboard, Phil listens to ska punk, enjoys discovering new beers and runs the occasional half marathon. 🎤Tamm Sjödin @tigresstamm Tamm is a Swedish Web Sorceress who relocated to Australia in 2018 to be with her girlfriend, now the Lead Front End Developer at Squiz in Sydney. Setting off into the world of IT when she repaired the family computer at age 5, she lives and breathes tech. Her focus is on teams achieving a great User Experience, fuelled by best practices in coding, and sometimes building little cool things for fun. Whilst we wait for them to prepare, 🎤 Matt Colman (@matt_colman) will entertain and delight us with a talk. Speaking of constants Matt will be talking today about variables of the CSS kind in his talk "CSS Variables for Real Life". Matt is a dad, a drummer and a CSS lover.Having worked in children's education, online gaming, real estate and now at Atlassian working on Jira, the only constant in Matt's career has been CSS...and maybe JavaScript. We can’t wait to see you all there 🧡 The SydCSS Team
