Okay, let's face it: sometimes your yoga attempts are so bad, you laugh. BUT, even if you let out the tiniest of giggles in a traditional yoga class, you're greeted with 25 amazingly dangerous death stares from the other yoga enthusiasts in the room, who pride themselves on their downward dog abilities (just look at that perfect "V") and boast that they've eaten nothing but a bowl of kale all day.
Well, aren't we lucky there's Laughter Yoga! Connie Costa, founder of the Newtown Laughter Club, has created this marvelous concept. From what I've heard, laughter here is the norm. Heck, it's even encouraged. Wait, it's even the whole point of the session! Yes, you might feel (and possibly look) like an idiot in your leggings and bare feet as you attempt the various laughter exercises this Connie chick throws at you, but remember this - if you feel so idiotic that it makes you genuinely laugh, you've just won Laughter Yoga. Gold stars for you.
After a hard session of laughing, we will finish with a quick meditation/calm down session. Life is tough sometimes, isn't it?
Tickets to this class are $20 and can be purchased here http://www.work-shop.com.au/event/laughter-yoga/ Please purchase your ticket before attending the event, because I'm not sure if it will sell out beforehand. We will meet outside the venue 15 minutes before it is due to start.
Hope to see you there!
