In the wake of the Royal Banking Commission, the regtech space has become one to watch. So how do you drive innovation within a regulated environment? What role can technology play to drive better customer outcomes?
To help us understand how corporates are thinking about this challenge, we have two amazing panelists:
Maia Schweizer, General Manager, Product & Growth @ Origin Energy
Maia looks after Product & Growth for Origin Energy’s retail business which supplies 4m household and small business customers. Her team relentlessly improves the affordability, sustainability, and ease of our current products, keeps up with regulatory changes, and develops products for new energy elements like solar, home batteries and EVs. Previously at Origin, Maia has run upstream gas development and operations, and prior to joining Origin, she was a McKinsey consultant serving clients in capital-intensive industries on six continents to solve their strategic and operational challenges. Earlier, she worked with NASA on the scientific payload for missions to Mars. Maia holds a DPhil in Palaeobiology (Oxford), MSc in Geobiology (CalTech), and BAs in Geology and Visual Arts/Painting (Princeton).
Elliot Cousins, Executive Manager, Partnerships @ CBA
We also have some all-star regtech startups showing how they are making it easier to respond to regulatory requirements. Details TBC.
