This Spanish Group services an area covering 1.3M

The Sydney Spanish Language Group

Having fully implemented the 12 monhs plan [2008-2009 ] . We aimed then at creating events in 3 regional areas [ 10 Local Government areas] where we provided spanish language conversation and cultural activities for an area that has a population of 1000,000 people .

That represented 75 meetings last year thats an average of 6 meetings per month .

Newtown inner west 340, 000 people
Northsore 515,000 people
City of Sydney 170,000 people

Manly Region with a huge population that also covers part of the Northern Beaches is well represented By Asst Organiser Gary who runs his own "Manly Spanish Language Group "

You can clearly see that the Eastern suburbs is totally unrepresented . Where as Sydney City with a population of 170,000 has 4 meetings per month [ SEEM at Spanish Club] + Art House + Club Swans .

To correct this situation , the Eastern Suburbs comprising 3 Local Government areas and a population of 240.000 deserves 2 meetings per month !

And there will be no additional meetings in the city ..otherwise all these city meeetups will thinout.

We are set to start 2 meetings per month in the Eastern Suburbs
Bondi Junction / 1x meeting per month
Randwick/ Coogee 1x meeting per month

Any Candidates
.. to run this important area ? you may click reply ! and please let me know what your plan is for this new initiative ..The candidates responses will be sent to the organising committee for a decision... make sure that the activities have to be fun and innovative ..

As soon as we start the Eastern Suburbs program of Spanish Language conversation practice and cultural Exchange program ,This group will have been established in 4 regional areas , which altogether have a population of 1.3M .

In the last 12 months 2008-2009 This group held 75 meetups , 2387 people attended these meetings / membership increased by 450 members .

With the inclusion of the Eastern suburbs and the increase of activities we axpect that this Group in the next 12 months 2009-2010 will hold 150 meetups. According to present trend 3500 people will attend these meetings
The membership will grow by 500 members to 1500 members.

In the prior 12 months 2007-2008 This group held 11 meetups , 434 people attended these meetings /

Welcome note to 16 members that joined this group on the 7th April 2009
Come along to the Club Swans "Spanish conversation Practice "on the 30th April 2009 and get a free glass of wine .. I haven't checked with Club Swans CEO but knowing what he is like he will accomodate my request.
