I'm glad I've made it. A weekend focusing on the major nosql solution, meeting 100% convinced people, leave you with no doubt about the db to picked.

It was great! I will definitely be more active in trying to encourage more people to not only give mongoDB a try but to participate in the next hackathon. It catered for not only advanced users but also novices like myself. Also, some great prizes and freebies were given out!

    Hi Guys,

Unfortunately I won't be able to make it. I was 'invited' to work on this weekend.

Apologies for the last minute notice.

    Cheers,

Amazingly, we have more prize goodies! The team at MongoVUE (http://www.mongovue.com/) have donated some licenses for their MongoVUE Windows GUI application :)

We have some promo codes for the new MongoMonitor iPhone app (http://www.mariussoutier.com/products/mongodb-app.html) to win at the hackathon. Handy iPhone viewer for collections, documents, server status, and GridFS files. I have it installed if anyone would like to try-before-you-buy at the hackathon or a meetup. The developer is also looking for feedback and is actively working on adding new features.

Hi Stennie, Tia - is it possible to bring our own (current) project and work on those with my co-founder?

    March 16, 2013

    • Stennie

Hi Shaon .. yes, please feel to join us at the hack weekend with your own MongoDB project. The MUG competition is specifically for open source projects, but we're happy to provide feedback and help for your own project too ;-).

      Cheers,
      Stephen
