Ever wondered why good company culture can go bad? Or why some communities feel more like families than others?

This event is for anyone interested in how culture emerges, what influences it and how it can be impacted for the better.

We'll hear from leaders in the fields of corporate culture, change management and social systems as they talk through case studies, theory and strategies for change.

SPEAKERS

MITRA GUSHEH
Manager, Social Impact at the University of Technology Sydney.

Mitra is a passionate and driven agent of social change. In her current role, Mitra led the process for developing the UTS Social Impact Framework and is establishing the Social Impact Lab – a space through which the university responds to community-driven challenges.

Mitra's practice builds on over 15 years of experience across the social sector and the design profession. Having studied psychology and design (visual communication), Mitra brings together principles underpinning both fields responding to complex social challenges.

Mitra has worked for a range of local and international not for profit organisations, where she has been responsible for the strategic design and development of large-scale social change programs and their implementation. This includes the establishment of Oxfam Australia’s national youth program, the design and implementation of an advocacy program on child rights in Sri Lanka, and the design and implementation of an ICT project in partnership with UNESCO based in Nepal.

Ian’s career encompasses leading on strategy, portfolio alignment, major organisational transformations, delivering sustainable results and growing both large and small organisations, through cultural transformation and delivery excellence.

During his 20+ year career he has worked with a wide range of clients internationally, from NASA at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory through to Defence, Fortune 500 companies, major Banks, and utilities.

Ian champions diversity through serving on the Authentic Leadership ERG as well as in a pro bono advisory capacity to the Centre for Gender Economics and Innovation.

Through his varied careers as a comedian, writer, presenter, creative, entrepreneur and strategist, Rich has always strived to break complex issues down into compelling and engaging content.

Rich was the founder of Kickstart Academy, Australia's first crowdfunding accelerator, and currently sits on the Global Mirror Board of M&C Saatchi.
