T.E.A.M. Therapy is a very popular therapy approach used in the United States and primarily centered from the Feeling Good Institute in California, as well as made quite popular from many of David Burns' top-selling books 'When Panic Attacks' and 'The Feeling Good Handbook' to name a few. Myself and a number of my colleagues were very interested in the principles and only felt we were barely able to wet our feet with the theory and practices at the 4-day Intensive Seminars. We wanted more practice... and signing up to the Feeling Good Institute for training seemed a bit too far beyond our means. And so thus we created this group, in hopes that we could find like-minded therapists and counsellors inspired by the T.E.A.M. model and who wanted opportunities to discuss and practice these approaches that can be challenging and awkward to try to implement first time with patients only. We primarily focus on using the T.E.A.M therapy Ebook (purchased for $99 from the institute) and the Therapist's Toolkit (purchased from the same) and have met in many settings and venues including boardrooms and over Skype and teleconferencing. It's a great way to meet some fellow therapists/counsellors in the Edmonton area and to become more familiarized in a form of therapy that has very few sources for growth in Canada. We welcome all therapists/counsellors coming to learn and, more importantly, humble enough to stumble through the practices.
