Sar valley overlooks the beautiful Parvati valley abundant in natural treasure. The valley is surrounded by snow clad mountains, perennial streams, waterfalls, and lush green forests. It is the seventh heaven for any adventurous traveler and nature lovers. It is recommended that Kasol be made the base camp for this trek. Day 2 : Kasol (1640 m / 5380 Ft) Get down in Bhunter anad get into bus for Kasol. Reach Kasol Base camp by noon for registrations. Day 3 : Grahan Village (2347 m / 7700 Ft) Trek from Kasol to Grahan. The walk takes about 5-6 hours covering a distance of 10 km. The trail is along the Grahan Nalah (river). At the end of the walk you will reach Grahan village. This is the last village in the Sar Pass trail. We will stay in a homestay at Grahan village. Day 4 : Minh Thatch (3261 m/10700 Ft) Trek from Grahan to to Ming Thach. ‘Thach’ means meadow in local language. The walk is a bit steeper than day before and through the woods. You will encounter many river crossings along the way. The Ming Thach camp offers an amazing view of snow-capped mountains (An Ocean of Snow peaks!!!) Day 5 : Nagaru (3810 m/12500 Ft) Trek from Ming Thach to Nagaru. This is the steepest climb in the whole trek. Though shorter distance is to be covered, the duration will be almost similar to the last days. Along the route, you can see the deity of Nagaru Devta. This is also the day we cross tree line and reach very high altitude [masked] m). Nagaru camp us the highest camp in the trek. We will try to camp near the lake (Sar) but depends on weather conditions. Day 6: Sar Pass (4200m /13800 Ft) –Biskeri Thach (3353 m/ 11000 Ft) Trek from Nagaru to Biskeri Thach (last camping point) via Sar Pass. We cross Sar Pass and then descend down to Biskeri camp. The highest point will be reached on this day. Depending on the weather conditions, we may get a slide in the snow for descending…!!! This day requires an early start (about 5 am) as it offers an amazing view of sunrise at the mountain tops. This is the longest walk in the whole trek. Biskeri Thach Day 7 : Kasol (1640 m/5380 Ft) From the cold Biskeri camp, we move further down to Pulga(2895m / 9500Ft) and Barshaini. It will take about 5-6 hours to reach Pulga from Biskeri. The trek takes us to Barshaini, Barshaini is the last point in the road head where public transport is accessible. There is an ongoing construction activity of a hydel power project there. Yepp. We enter the realms of humans. The trail is quite scenic as we walk through lush green meadows, cross rivers and move across huge valleys. From Barshaini, we go to Kasol by road, a distance of about 25 km. Along the route you can alight at Manikaran for a refreshing hot water bath in the famous Gurudwara of Manikaran Sahib. We reach Kasol in the evening and stay overnight. Day 8 : Kasol (1640 m/5380 Ft) This is actually a buffer day, we never guess the weather in Himalayas.
