What we're about

Network, connect and learn about inventing and taking your innovations to market, twice a month in an informal setting. The Tampa Bay Inventors Council brings innovative people together twice a month, each 2nd and 4th Wednesday evening from 7 - 9 pm to discuss various aspects of inventing. Speakers discuss issues from patenting to packaging and all the steps in between having a great idea and taking it to market. Annual membership is $50 or simply pay $5 at the meetings you attend.

Come away from meetings enriched with the knowledge of events and resources needed to aid in your development. We are not a invention marketing program looking for your hard earned dollars. We help you acquire the skills you need and meet people with the talents you require to do it yourself. Don't waste thousands chasing a dream without a plan. Learn the steps to becoming a successful inventor and apply your money where it is needed most!

Tampa Bay Inventors Council - www.tbic.us Weekly Meetup

Tampa Bay Tech Center

This week at the Tampa Bay Inventors Council, we will meet on July 24th at 50 S. Belcher, in Clearwater and have a conversation with a Marc Portney, the principal investor from Science Channel’s “All American Makers”. The show featured four amateur inventors each week, eager for an opportunity to take their product to market. Judged by two master makers, Brook Drumm and Brian Roe, and business magnate Portney, each inventor’s product is shown to consumers, broken down and examined to test their mettle and ultimate marketability. As President of Chelsea Home Imports, an international player in product development, manufacturing and sales, Portney works diligently to bring new products to market. His street smart insights and deep knowledge of the retail landscape are invaluable when assessing the commercial viability of new products. He invites inventors to submit their ideas for consideration and this Wednesday at 7pm, he will share with TBIC what make a good submission for investment. Join us this Wednesday, July 24th by 7pm for the best seat for our zoom conference with Mr. Portney, and prepare to ask a question or two to help guide your invention for success. I look forward to seeing you there, Wayne Rasanen P, TBIC
