Greetings Inventors, Our next TBIC meeting will be a bit more intimate as we will meet in the MLK room at the John F. Germany Library on the 2nd floor. This week we are skipping having a speaker so that we can work directly on building the strategy for advancing your invention. This can be anything from working on a marketing approach to where to get the parts or service you need. Need help developing your pitch? Wondering how much to spend on services? Whatever you need help with, our inventors helping inventors strategy usually finds the answer. So join us for our next Tampa Bay Inventors Council meeting from 7-8:45 this Wednesday, June 12 in the MLK room at the John F. Germany Library. See you there! Wayne Rasanen P, TBIC

Greetings TBIC Inventors! We have a special treat for you at our next meeting this Wednesday (5/8) in the Auditorium at the John F. Germany library, on Ashley in Tampa. Success for your invention relies heavily on your ability to “do business” and understand the principals of entrepreneurship. Volumes have been written on it and entrepreneurship is regularly taught in college. One of the major principles of entrepreneurship are understanding “lean startup” methods, essentially making the most of what you have. This is a skill that is essential to any inventor that hopes to be successful. Joining us this Wednesday is Clint Day, an entrepreneurship adjunct professor who serves on the advisory board of the National Association for Community College Entrepreneurship, and the Shore Center for Entrepreneurship at Kennesaw State University. Professionally qualified by the AACSB business school association, Clint earned a MBA in entrepreneurship and five entrepreneurship programs. He founded the entrepreneurship program at the State College of Florida, and wrote the Bar Charts entrepreneurship quick study guide found in most college bookstores. His “Lean Entrepreneurship Guide”, was introduced at the 2019 USASBE conference and is the first summary of all 14 evidenced-based, lean methods. Clint, a member of NACCE and USASBE entrepreneurship organizations, participates in veterans training as a Vietnam vet. He writes a popular blog titled, “Current in Entrepreneurship,” which helps entrepreneurs around the globe stay connected to the latest news in entrepreneurship. This Wednesday, Clint is going to give you a crash course on lean startup methods and his custom five-day sprint for solving a problem! Presentations like this are why the Tampa Bay Inventors Council exists! Education on the topics you need to understand to take your “idea” and turn it into a business. You may learn more in one hour than what is taught at a university in a week! Please don't be late because we want to give Clint as much time as he needs and have some time for your questions too. The meeting starts at 7 PM so grab a cookie and have a seat. Be ready to take notes to help guide you on your path to becoming a successful inventor! See you there, Wayne Rasanen Pres.
