Have a brilliant idea?
This is your chance to share it.
The December TCNewTech meetup promises to be a special evening. We are teaming up with the Front Street Irregulars for our first ever Holiday Christmas Party + Pitch Night!
That awesome app or idea you had over drinks with friends – it’s time to share it with the world. Typically, to present at TCNewTech you have to have something tangible to share – an app, a company, an invention in the works. For December we’re changing that up. We want to hear about your unsung ideas!
December 6th // Bar Napkin Pitch Night
The rules are pretty simple. You get one slide and one minute to pitch your idea to a crowd of people that could actually help make it happen. From world changing ideas to modest inventions that just make life a little bit easier, any tech product, any service, or any idea is welcome! After pitches there will be an opportunity to mingle for one on one questions and answers. TCNewTech’s goal is to provide a “shot of inspiration” and the opportunity to potentially turn your idea into the start of something big. To get signed up, simply email your one slide to [masked] to be placed in the pitch night lineup. You never know unless you try. One minute, take a shot! The deadline for submittal is 12-noon December 6 (limited to the the first 10 applicants/ideas).
TCNewTech Membership Donations
TCNewTech meetups remain free to the public and to the presenters, however to help maintain financial viability for the growth of our organization, we are asking members to voluntarily contribute at least $15 a year to help cover costs like website hosting and software expenses. Your $15 annual membership fee allows you to run for and/or vote for our Board of Directors. A December donation/membership sign-up also gets you a “Shot of Inspiration” shot glass (while supplies last). Inherit additional membership benefits as they come! You can pay the $15 fee on the Meetup website or by cash or check (made payable to TCNewTech) at the door on December 6th.
As everyone may know, we’ve been talking about and working on the possibility of starting a co-work/incubator in Traverse City. We recently sent out a survey to that effect. If you are interested in participating in this exciting project either as a tenant or as a mentor, please fill out this form here: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdry4I40auqN-TfacIFPjeUGVfSsvVv8IgmPG5bZsRLdVWEoA/viewform?c=0&w=1
MITechNews.Com has launched MI Reelcast, a new video section where drone enthusiasts and tech start-ups can post their videos - plus get them promoted to a large technology, business and private equity finance audience.
“We’re going video big time,” said MITechNews.Com Editor Mike Brennan. “I’ve seen a lot of great videos shot by drones and I want to share those videos with my audience so they can see how drone videos are changing the world in so many ways.”
If you have a 90-second drone video you like to submit, click on https://mitechnews.com/mireelcast-video-submission/
