Anyone interested in a meetup for an evening group studio shoot (6pm-10pm, weekdays) at Moore Mistry Photography Studio in Bolton? Up to 6 people can come and gain experience taking photos of a model supplied for £15 per person or for £10 per person if you bring your own model/subjects to photograph. You don't need to make a deposit, therefore if any members drop out you won't lose anything.
• Let me know if you're interested :) Any questions or for bookings; Tel. [masked] or[masked] or

The group has gone a bit quiet events-wise recently. I have not been in a position to host any events since the highly successful (if unusual) Sheffield Industrial Townscapes event back in November, and my other commitments (Meetup and non-Meetup) mean that situation is not likely to change.
Although there are a number of other photo groups around (two essentially Manchester based groups and the Nottingham-based Photography Days Out group come to mind) this group does have its own niche- concentrating on walks and visits in the Peak District and surrounding areas. The group's events have usually attracted people from Greater Manchester, Sheffield, Derby and places in between.
If there are any members who would like to take charge of the group, and give it fresh momentum by organising more events, I would be happy to step down. If the group continued I would still try to put on a couple of walks or visits per year. Manchester also now has a thriving History Tours and Discussions group, and some of their days out (which expand as far as places like Leeds and York) would perhaps work as joint Meetups.
Please get in touch by replying to this email if you might be interested. There is a lot of information on running a Meetup group on the Help pages of the Meetup site https://www.meetup.com/help/. The fees are currently $89 every six months (around £58). During my time, these have been met from contributions made by members of other groups I organise. The sum could easily be covered by charging a small joining fee and/or an annual charge. Many groups do this, setting the charge at anything between around £2 and £5, depending on the size of their active membership.
I look forward to your responses!
