Join us as we explore the beautiful downs of the Darent Valley in Kent. Starting in the historic village of Otford, our hike will take us along an impressive chalk escarpment with views stretching far over the county, and then across scenic hills covered by woods and pasture.
Otford is a place of great historical significance for it was here that the Kentish people established self rule from mighty King Offa in the 8th century. More recently, it has become host to the world's largest scale model of the solar system, with each of the planets marked across the fields, located as they were on the eve of the new millennium.
Our day of discovery and adventure will end with food and drink in a pub in Otford village.
