Badger Springs Wash Water Hike on the Aqua Fria River

Please ignore the address in the Meetup location above and read the 3rd paragraph on here for exact directions and location.

Most of us who will be doing this hike will be coming from the Flagstaff Extreme Course the previous day.  But it is obviously not mandatory to do the Flagstaff event with us.  However, it will make it more difficult to coordinate with you if you are not coming from Flagstaff with us on Sunday morning.  We can text you as we leave Flag as to give you a ballpark time to meet at the trailhead.

Off Interstate 17, take exit #256, the Badger Springs exit. Follow the rough, sometimes muddy gravel road for approximately one mile east to the trailhead parking area.

Approximate time we will be at the Trail Head is at 10:30am. If you are not coming with us to Flag and just want to meet us at Badger Springs, then you will need to communicate with me via text as to dial it in that morning.  Be ready to flex.  If you are on a set schedule, this is probably not for you.  We will have families, children, etc, etc.  So time will probably change a bit in at the last moment.  Sorry.  At least I am being up front about that now.

The following morning, when we depart Flagstaff, on the way home, before we enter Phoenix, just off the I-17, we are going to do the rather short hike down the Aqua Fria River which is the Badger Springs Wash Trail.  It is 1.25 miles each way, totaling 2.50 miles.  There are supposed to be pools to be able to swim in.  I did not want to schedule this hike by its own because its so short, so this is the perfect time to be able to incorporate this hike into a weekend filled with activities.

Are you going to Badger Balls Wash? 71 stories is 75 x 15ft, so 1065 ft, Lukas?

I most likely will be meeting you at the trailhead. I'll know more as we near the date.
