2126 Windancer Trail , Pearce, AZ
So here is your chance to be involved in another really awesome weekend.
Friday Night you will have the opportunity to check in at Cochise StrongHold Retreat http://cochisestrongholdretreat.com/. Or stay right down the road the Cochise Stronghold Campground. http://www.fs.usda.gov/recarea/coronado/recreation/bicycling/recarea/?recid=25446&actid=29
On Saturday, we will hike to the top of the Dragoon Mountains, Mount Glenn. 5.27 Miles, with 2,992 AEG. A short hike, but a difficult task at hand. Bring poles. You will be on top of another Arizona Sky Island and will be sitting at 7,520 ft in elevation once at the Summit. The views up here are incredible. This rarely visited Summit will come at a cost, but is certainly doable at only 5.27 miles round trip. https://hikearizona.com/decoder.php?ZTN=15905
Once done with this hike, you will have all day to explore the are more or take in a horse back ride, or wine tasting, or Birding or Nature and Interpretive Hikes. Tombstone is close by and so is Kartchner Caverns. http://cochisestrongholdretreat.com/other-attractions/
Sunday, We will get up and hike the Cochise Stronghold Trail. This is the trail that has all that history on it. It hikes up through the Stronghold Divide. This is an incredible Trail with a lot of history right on it. We ask that whomever goes this weekend, to save this trail for the whole group to do together for Sunday morning. It's a 9 miles round trip moderately rated hike with only about 1,000 ft in elevation gain. It is a maintain trail by the FSUSDA.
