This Mountain Run/Climb takes you from the Beach on West Vancouver, to the Summit of Vancouver, which is a 4,100 feet climb, in 10 miles. The trip only allows you to go one way on this day, because they will only want people going one way on this trail for safety reasons. So you climb 10 miles and have 4,100 ft in elevation gain. You reach the Grouse Mountain Ski Resort and you take the ski lift down when you come down. This is a perfect chance to test your uphill running skills..........lol........ you don;t have to run, as most people hike it, but there are plenty of runners as well.
There is a huge village with Sponsors and the donations going to Breast Cancer Awareness. Just an incredible way to spend the day. A memorable experience for sure. Come join us on a really awesome day. They have a big BBQ going on at the top with a DJ and yoga and massages, etc.
I will be flying in as early as possible on Saturday, but not on Friday. The race is Sunday, so I will be flying out on Monday morning. So staying Sat and Sun night. So, yeah, you may have to take off on work on Monday. But at elast you don't have to take on on Friday.
