The National Symphony Orchestra's free community engagement program "In Your Neighborhood" comes to Capitol Hill and H Street, NE, Jan. 7-13, 2014, featuring three concerts with full orchestra plus numerous chamber music and educational activities with small ensembles.

What is "NSO In Your Neighborhood"?

The National Symphony Orchestra aims to reach a wide audience through its classical subscription series, pops concerts, and one of the country's most extensive educational programs. Through the many activities the NSO provides, the Orchestra aims to share all the elements of classical music with the community members in a short time period.

Following the excitement the NSO experienced playing in the U Street/Howard University/Shaw/Logan Circle area in 2013, the Orchestra is pleased to bring these programs to the H Street NE and Capitol Hill neighborhoods January 7-13, 2014. The NSO will present many activities, with an emphasis on chamber performances, education, and community engagement programs. We hope people of all ages will embrace classical music with the same excitement that we do at the NSO.

So..... join us:

Good idea, Walt, we'll try to get a table or two in the center café, if that will be possible, but we need to have more people there ahead of time to reserve it. Maybe meet at 2 pm and have a drink and talk?
