Sunday Sunrise Siltstone

Run the best trail (IMHO) within 100 miles, as the new sun dapples thru the leaves. Out-and-back, total 13+ miles. But each runner runs his/her own pace, and turns at a given time, based on the fastest runners' expected arrival at the Scott's Gap turnaround. That way, we all get back around the same time. And getting DQ'd after is one of the best things about the Siltstone - love that Blizzard! Meet at the JMF Welcome Center.

I'm looking to get about 8 miles, so I guess I'll turn about 4 miles in. Can I assume that's cool with everyone?

Man that sucks. I hope it isn't serious. I might hang back and go when I know someone will be there for sure. I'm not really familiar with the area, so I'll probably just find a few miles on my own tomorrow. I typically do planned long runs with a group at Seneca every other Sat (which would be next Sat), so hopefully I can catch you and whoever on the trail in a couple weeks! I'm looking forward to it. So glad to see that there's a group that does this regularly. I HATE running by myself. Seems unnatural. Humans are meant to run in packs!
