Beginner -- Database Design and Development

This meetup will be on how to design, normalize, and develop a database for a website. We will go through basic examples on how to create a database for a blog website. This class is labeled as a beginner class, so you do not have to have any knowledge of how to create a database. Basic SQL syntax will be covered, as well as the best tools to use. MySQL will be the database we use.

The class will last roughly 1 hour, getting you home to see who won the election.

The address to our facility is:

Terraces South

115 Perimeter Center Place, Suite 850

Atlanta, GA 30346

We have a parking deck attached to the building. Please make sure you go to the main entrance. When you get off the elevators on the 8th floor, we are the only ones there. Go to the main entrance for entry to our class room.

If the doors are shut/locked, wait patiently...someone will come by and open it for you.

As mentioned briefly, every spring & fall there's a bunch of free, back-to-back webinars of SQL Server Training over a period of 24 hours. If you're interested, make a note to check it out next year! http://www.sqlpass.org/24hours/

All, if you are on the waiting list, we cannot fit you into this class. If you do show up, you will more than likely have to stand...I hate to do that, but we just don't have enough room. I will offer additional classes on this topic, so don't worry if you can't come to this one...another one is on the way.

Zach, hello, i know the title of the class is beginners, but will we as the description states, actually begin to design and formulate a database that we could tie to a website (blog)?

Hi, is there a cost to this class?

    October 22, 2012

    • Zach S.

No cost to this class. We are offering this as a service to our prospective candidate pool to continue educating them.
