June 26 - Building better solutions with SharePoint and Nintex

  • Jun 26, 2013 · 6:00 PM

Join us at 6 pm on June 26th for pizza and pop, followed by a presentation by our member, Andrew Krupowicz on how he and his team have used Nintex at their organization to build great workflow solutions for SharePoint.

The main presentation will start at 6:30

Building better solutions with SharePoint and Nintex by Andrew Krupowicz

In this session, you will see a practical application of the Nintex workflow add-on to SharePoint. A demonstration of its general features and functionality will be illustrated by a case study showing how Nintex allowed a small team of business end users to create a replacement to a complex commercial software package that tracks compliance and sign-offs. The Nintex solution they designed was named the “Bill 198 Sign-off System”, and went live in the spring of 2013 to positive reviews from end users who found it to be user friendly and a great improvement to the legacy commercial program. We will discuss the types of scenarios where this type of Nintex/SharePoint solution would be applicable for other organizations and companies, and the features and limitations associated with this approach.

This was a great example of a member of our community talking about real-world problems and the application of SharePoint and third-party tools. Thanks Andrew for a great presentation; I hope it inspires others to come forward and tell their own SharePoint stories. (Also, a nice shout-out to our member, Peter Newhook, who inspired Andrew to explore the power of SharePoint over a year ago.)
