What do you want to learn and/or build?

I'm open to learning anything, as I believe that no knowledge is ever wasted. But my focus right now is small mechanisms, the parts for which I can cut on my laser...custom, laser cut leather bits and pieces for renaissance and steampunk costuming, growing a business and achieving world domination. After all, it's a frickin' laser...

What skills do you have and would you be willing to teach?

I have 20 years experience designing and fabricating scale representations of architectural, engineering, aerospace, consumer and prototypes. Everything from single family dwellings to shopping malls to skyscapers. Presentation models of satellites, the NASP, the ISS. Flight ready models of ISS modules for on-orbit EVA reviews. Nearly everything oilfield, both onshore and offshore. Consumer prototypes of coffee dispensers to wind tunnel test models. Skilled in design, drafting, CAD, wood working, metal working, milling, lathes, hand tools, finishing, coatings, material selection...eight years of daily use of Universal Lasers in a shop environment. I'm willing to teach the willing and I teach what I know and admit what I don't...high concentrations of BS lead to explosions in the laboratory...

Designer, fabricator, tinker, artist...industrial model maker with 20 years experience, recently acquired an Epilog Zing 24 with a 60 watt tube to feed my desire to make cool stuff and money...
