What we're about

Forget about the shallow and segregated conversations that inevitably happens with big group gatherings. This Meetup is for food lovers who are interested in exploring Austin restaurants, all while meeting new people and bonding over deeper and more engaged conversations.

A table for 4 is the perfect recipe (😏) for the best of conversations. This creates enough variety of personalities, thoughts, feelings and experiences to make interesting conversations but isn’t so large as to make people feel uncomfortable or intimidated to go deep.

We hope you will join us in our table for 4.

THE ENTIRE TABLE MUST PARTICIPATE. https://www.locadoroaustin.com/special-events/pastatasting/ It is a six courses. 1 appetizer, 4 pastas, and 1 dessert. $65. You may add a wine pairing for an additional $40. I was a couple of weeks ago (some of y'all were probably even with me!) and really liked my mafaldine dish. I've been super hyped about holding an event here to try even more of their pastas. Get ready for some carb overload!! "The simplicity of L’Oca d’Oro’s soaring space in the Mueller development may lead guests to overlook the message, to not tune into the architectural incantation. But it’s all right there within the walls: gleaming Mediterranean white and brilliant blue, the wheat and brick red of Tuscany enlivened with greenery, the rows of tables evoking a modest trattoria. The calming space represents the Italian color palette, just as the kitchen sets the baselines of Italian cuisine: clean, seasonal, expressive, unfussed and flavorful." -- https://apps.statesman.com/austin360/eats/restaurants/145/loca-doro/ ---- Join us on the Table for 4 Discord: https://discord.gg/CxVjmnZ Plan events independently of the group or just talk to other members.

Table for 12 @ Salt Lick BBQ

Salt Lick BBQ

Let's celebrate Thanksgiving early at Salt Lick BBQ's popular Driftwood location. This location is BYOB so feel free to bring any alcohol you desire. Salt Lick is also CASH ONLY so please come prepared (there is an ATM on-site). They have a large parking lot so there should be plenty of parking space. Menu: https://saltlickbbq.com/driftwood/#driftwood-menu About Salt Lick: "Located amongst rolling hills, abundant wildlife, century-old oak trees, and native wildflowers, The Salt Lick is a bona fide favorite amongst Austin-area barbeque joints. If you’ve done any research around the aforementioned topic, you’ve likely seen a photo or two of their enormous open pit (built in the shape of a water well), where The Salt Lick team has smoked their meats since 1967. The recipes, from beef ribs to the pulled pork sandwich, have been passed down through many generations."
