Craig Romano and "Hiking Eastern Washington" - Exploring the sunnier side of our state
Friday, April 19th
7:00 pm - Come see our great orientation show of the programs and courses offered by the Tacoma Mountaineers. We welcome new members, prospects and friends. Bring the family to see what we do including climbing and scrambling, sea kayaking, skiing, snowshoeing, hiking, social & family activities, first aid, sailing, navigation, avalanche training, and more. This will be a chance to visit with committee people in activities of interest to you.
7:45 pm - Award winning author Craig Romano invites you on a slideshow hiking tour of Eastern Washington. Drawing from his 9th book, the newly released Day Hiking Eastern Washington, Craig will introduce you to a diverse array of (and often sunny) trails east of the Okanogan and Columbia Rivers. Discover trails in the lofty pine and meadow shrouded Kettle River Range; grizzly bear and caribou inhabited Salmo-Priest Wilderness; bird and wildflower abundant Channeled Scablands; the wild white bluffs of the Hanford Reach national Monument; the lonely elk-riddled Blue Mountains; and the abundant parks and preserves of the Spokane region.
Come Join us at the Spar afterwards at 9:15pm for food and conversation. See you there!
