  • Permaculture gardens often have no need for irrigation beyond the implementation stage. Learn how simple numerous strategies to shape your garden contours can learn to a lifetime of water savings and hassle-free production. This workshop entails a hands-on session to shape the site for water-savings strategies before the plants are installed. **IMPORTANT** To register for the event please go here: http://www.swancreekparkfoodforest.eventbrite.com

$40-$5 Sliding Scale for four hours instruction, including multiple handouts and concurrent children's activities (ie, childcare)

This workshop is second in a Permaculture Skill Series to gather info and create a design for the Edible Forest Garden at Swan Creek Park. Permaculture design creates abundant, low-maintenance, deliciously edible and self-renewing gardens. Come learn techniques and processes that Permaculture uses as it applies to Swan Creek Park Food Forest. Not only will your contributions guide the food forest’s implementation, you’ll also learn skills that are easily transferred to other garden projects at home.

Instruction is led by Kelda Lorax, certified Permaculture instructor who runs a small business that does design and education professionally. Rachael Dye teaches Permaculture at the local non-profit Gateways for Youth and Families. B Hendricks focuses on Permaculture design that incorporates art and children’s involvement.
