1. Tableau Public http://public.tableau...
Look for downloadable Tableau workbooks and use the pre-formatted data to jump start your visualizations. Formats TWBX accessible in Tableau

2. Data is Plural
Subscribe for the weekly newsletter or look at the archive. Formats vary.

Create a profile then start searching for the data. Formats vary.

4. Reddit – Datasets
Look at the threads directly, the megathreads (for elections, financial, climate and social), or the subreddits. Formats vary.

Use the Guided or Advanced Search to narrow down to the data level you need. There is also a YouTube video on how to navigate AFF presented by the Census staff to the Tableau Community. The Census staff will also help.

6. Eurostat
Search the statistics by theme or the Statistics A to Z

7. Flowing Data
Look in the feed for an interesting topic or look at the Favorites for ideas

8. UN data
Go to More, Advanced Search. Use the Search box to search all the sources for the specific topics. Formats in .xml and .csv

9. USA Facts. https://www.usafacts.... Federal, state and local data and more a source of visualization ideas. Some data sets too.

This is a social data project whereby the organizers provide a new data set each week (along with a viz related to it) and ask the community to provide alternative ways to visualize it. Not only is it a great source of public data, but also a vast catalog of publicly available vizzes that you can download and learn from.
