Some people see tai chi as a moving meditation, other see it as a gentle exercise based on martial arts, and others see it as an exercise for fall prevention and for individuals living with arthritis. Want to learn tai chi? Or looking for a group so you can practice your tai chi? Consider joining our Community Tai Chi for Health group. Our group meets weekly on Fridays at the Salvation Army in Pontiac. We practice Tai Chi for Health, TCH, short forms created by Dr. Paul Lam a Tai Chi Master and Australian Physician as well as Yang Style 24 form tai chi. TCH forms are short forms based on the traditional tai chi styles of Sun, Yang, and Chen. It is easy for beginners to learn while giving more experienced tai chi players an opportunity to explore the depth and internal power found in tai chi. Wear loose comfortable clothing and flat soft shoes. This is a free class - No charge :-)
