Classes begin with peaceful and mindful Qigong movements. Qigong is a mind-body practice that uses deep breathing, slow movements, self-applied massage and meditation practices. Qigong gently exercises and stretches the body, can calm the emotions, and quiet the mind to promote the body's natural healing ability. The meditative, sequenced form of Tai Chi for Busy People or Easy Tai Chi is graceful, flowing, and fun. Easy Tai Chi uses movements from longer Tai Chi forms that affect the entire body. Qigong and Tai Chi have numerous health benefits which can include reducing stress, improving balance, coordination and strength increasing relaxation, energy, circulation, flexibility, muscle tone, lowering blood pressure, enhancing brain function and the immune system.
