• Qigong Class @ Be Well Studios, every Tuesday from 7-8 pm!
Qi (Chi) is the energy that sustains all life. Qigong (pronounced "chi gung") exercises are simple movements that refine and balance internal energy flow. More widely known, Tai Chi has its roots in Qigong. Much like Yoga is to Ayurveda, Qigong is the exercise form and backbone of Chinese Medicine. Access the healer within using slow, fluid movements which ignite our mind-body awareness, and many other evidence-based health enhancing effects. Learn alignment, coordination and integration of these principles to access deeper states of calmness and clarity. Classes may include breathing and massage techniques (such as acupressure basics and tapping/EFT), guided meditation and more! Great for people of all ages and physical conditions, this art requires no special knowledge, training, or equipment, and can be practiced by one and all! Come feel the vibe of the Qi tribe! ~Matthew (Matu) Étienne is certified to lead Tai Chi practice through the Institute of Integral Qigong and Tai Chi (IIQTC), and holds a Qigong teacher certification through Zen Wellness. A member of the National Qigong Association (NQA), Matu has been a student of meditative and martial arts since 2000, but after several years of traditional self-defense training, he decided to shift focus to more of the healing and internal arts, which retain the practical uses of self-defense with a much broader scope and restorative, healing nature.
