INTRODUCE YOURSELF & YOUR FURRY BEST FRIEND. TELL US YOUR PUP'S NAME AND BREED, and INCLUDE A PICTURE

I'm DeAnne and I'm with Alan, a small wire-haired terrier dachshund mix. So cute!

WHERE DO YOU LIVE NOW (just approximate area)? And, HOW DID YOU FIND US?

I live in Maryland Heights. I joined WCDW when it started. Alan is our second dog. The dog we had previously, Angel, passed away a week ago. She was over 15 years old and we had a wonderful life together with many happy West County Dog Walker hikes.

TELL US SOMETHING FUN OR INTERESTING ABOUT YOUR DOG... HOW DID YOU TWO FIND EACH OTHER? OR YOUR FAVORITE STORY ABOUT YOUR PUP.

Alan was our daughter's dog but he was too feisty for her to handle and she seldom found the time to walk him. Then she thought of her dear old mom. (How sweet!) Kathy K, a WCDW member, was taking a trip out west and was able to pick Alan up at his home in Albuquerque and bring him to us.

HOW OFTEN DO YOU TAKE YOUR DOG ON A LONG WALK, MORE THAN JUST AROUND THE BLOCK?

My husband and I are Volksmarchers, and we regularly go on 10K (6.2 miles) walks. Alan can't always join us, but he has walked a few 10k's. He's a good little walker.

WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITE PARKS FOR HIKING?

I like Creve Coeur Park a lot. I live nearby which makes it very easy.

Introduction

Alan, little brother to the auspicious Angel, is now Dog #1 but he's always known that. What an attitude for such a little guy! His weight varies from 15 to 20 lbs, and I should be walking him more. I'm hoping to join WCDW more frequently.
