Papago hike

Enjoy a desert evening outdoors ...on another Papago Park Evening Hike.

"Trek with us" .. We'll meet at the Gazebo "Map Link".

Beginning on mostly level dirt trails, walking to the "colosseum stairs". It's our stair masters lap ! .. stretch and get the heart rate up a tic or two. Then it's up up up ..climb Big Buttes back side "we like it" challenging loose rocky trail to Big Butte's summit. It's a 300' elevation gain no matter what side to the top! We'll then descend "What goes up must come down" .. chose either down the sandstone rock face "good practice" or down the ravine trail, "familiar but challenging". Then we're off on level trails to Little Butte, climb the rocky trails there, enjoy the panoramic City of Phoenix towers silhouette at sunset, swallows flying around and the gentle desert breeze .. and finally to mostly dirt trails, towards our start and finish near dark. About a 1 Hour to 1.5 Hour trail experience.

Train for the more advanced meetup Hikes or just enjoy improving your personal fitness and well being. How about both?

Camelbacks work well for packing water, sturdy shoes for rock grip and uneven terrain ...all for your comfort. Forecast Friday PM cooling to high 90's. But it's a dry heat! We like it!

See you there.

I updated the description based on one of Paul's hikes. It will be about 3.5 to 4 miles. Enjoy!
