Boston Architectural photography will challenge your creative skills with fun assignments and fresh perspectives. During this class we will explore the urban canyons in the financial district in downtown Boston. Weekends are the perfect time to wander in this area of the city since there will be very few people and very little traffic.
You are invited to join this photography field trip as we explore the structures, patterns and architecture of the financial district. You will be amazed at the number of photo opportunities that exist in this area. Not your typical tourist area for sure. Ill point out some of my favorite spots.
I have designed a waking tour that will give you the opportunity to photograph contemporary buildings and historic landmarks, big scenes and small details. We will photograph old buildings, new buildings and some under construction.
We will be focusing on black and white photography for this program.
• Composing an image with wide range of values.
• Using light and shadow for dramatic impact
Vertical panning and panoramas for special effect.
• Creating a sense of depth in your images
• Working with visual balance and dynamic tension
We will meet at the Intercontinental Hotel for the brief lecture and then head across the street to start our shoot. We will end up near Quincy Market, a great place lunch after class. Tuition for this workshop is $65.00 This includes handouts, one on one photo mentoring, and small group discussions.
Closest T for this workshop is South Station on the Red Line
For parking options check this site. There is a $10. lot near our starting point.
And in other news....
There is one space open for the 7 session private lesson program this Summer. This is program is custom designed just for you.
