  • At the #NextGenTA meet up we will have a conversation with the Disruptors and Trailblazers in HR Tech.  We will be joined by a panel of Founders and CEOs who have built HR and Recruitment technology solutions that are disrupting traditional markets and the early adopters in HR and Talent Acquisition that are changing the game.  Our diverse panel will share their thoughts and insights on the future of talent acquisition as well as their successes and challenges along the way.

    To allow us to continue to host awesome events with great speakers we will be charging attendees a small entry fee. The first 30 early bird registrations will be free, and after that each ticket will be $5.

    Speakers: 

    Peter Brasket is co-founder of WebClipDrop.io, and previously co-founder of Jobs2Web (industry-first Recruiting Marketing Platform, acquired by SAP in 2012). At WebClipDrop, Peter and his co-founder are once again revolutionizing how recruiters source talent. Peter speaks regularly on the topic of talent acquisition and technology and enjoys working with recruiting teams from around the world. He currently resides in Minnesota, USA and frequently visits Toronto to meet clients.


    Cheryl Kerrigan is the Vice President of People for BlueCat Networks  where she is responsible for the overall people strategy focusing on attracting, retaining, and inspiring top talent. Cheryl is passionate about creating a culture of employee success where employees feel recognized and valued for the contributions they make. Prior to BlueCat, Cheryl was the Vice President of Employee Success at Achievers. While at Achievers she was responsible for not only leading the Employee Success team but also for evangelizing why recognition and employee engagement is critically important for business success. 

    Cheryl is a frequent contributor in the HR industry, appearing in HR Magazine, Human Resource Executive, HR Gazette, Business News Daily, CMS Wire, and more.

    Cheryl earned her Honor’s Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Guelph and a postgraduate certificate in Human Resource Management from Seneca College.


    Farhan was the VP of Engineering at Xtreme Labs (acquired by Pivotal Labs in 2013). He continued as CTO of Mobile and VP of Engineering at Pivotal post-acquisition. Previously, he was also the CTO at Acheivers and worked at large enterprises like Celestica and Microsoft. Farhan holds an MBA from the University of Toronto and a Bachelor of Math from Waterloo. Currently Farhan is the CTO and Co-Founder of Helpful.


    Collage co-founder Peter Demangos is a passionate advocate for a new approach to group benefits for small and mid-sized Canadian businesses.

    Stephanie Kessler is the Talent & HR Manager at Top Hat where she is currently responsible for overseeing the Talent Acquisition team and managing the HR function. Before joining Top Hat, she worked at HR Associates and Achievers.  Working for a growing technology company has given Stephanie a wealth of knowledge surrounding the impact adopting new technologies has on recruiting and HR. Stephanie holds a BA from the University of Waterloo and has achieved her CHRP.


    A serial technology entrepreneur, Michael Carter co-founded Kahuso in 2015, with a mission to change the way the world works.  Prior to Kahuso, Michael founded and lead MyThum Interactive, one of the North America’s leading mobile marketing technology providers until it was sold in 2011 to Olson.  Michael leverages a wealth of experience gained earlier in his career from stints in management consulting (A.T. Kearney), interactive entertainment, and as a faculty member at the Richard Ivey School of Business.
