Practice and enhance your presentation, communication, leadership and public speaking skills - all in a supportive and interesting environment! Talking Blue Toastmasters Club provides a structured program for developing communication and leadership skills and a forum for improving those skills.
Talking Blue is one of the many chapters of Toastmasters International around the world, and uses their course materials to teach public speaking. New members start with an introductory 10 project speeches, then embark on up to 70 specialty speeches that focus on different skills from Technical presentations to Professional Speaking.
The meeting format consist of short impromptu speaking, longer rehearsed speeches, and constructive advice and feedback, along with plenty of time for catching up with old friends and meeting new ones. Meeting sizes are generally 12-20 people - despite what the meetup attendance list says! - mostly hard-working professionals plus the odd uni student.
The club meets on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month at the IBM building in Southbank, Melbourne. Guests are most welcome, so if you would like to come along to see for yourself or bring your friends, please let us know!
