Tallinn WordPress Meetup is back after 5-year hibernation on 12th of December – and ready to look at WordPress 5.0 (hopefully released on 29.11), Gutenberg and ask „what should we tell our users / customers about upgrading?“.
SpringHub is a great place to share ideas, techniques and discuss these more technical topics and collect ideas for next meetups.
Will be going from soft introduction to a deep dive, discuss about future implications and how to prepare for these changes.
Topics (please let [masked] know if you’d like to fill a 20-30 minute speaking slot):
*WordPress 5.0 – ready to move over? already moved over? happy/sad?
*Gutenberg editor – probably an easy choice for new blogger, but does it fit with whatever you have made your customers use up to now?
* Development workflows – do you code in FTP or use something more fancy, like GIT and frameworks?
* Deployment & update – how do you get that stuff to the live sites, how do you manage them and keep everyhting running hot, straight and normal?
18:00 – Welcome (schnapps)
18:15 – Opening words (host/moderator: Peeter Marvet)
18:20...20:00 – 20-30 minute speaking slots (4-5 short talks)
20:00... – networking, ideas for next meetups etc
This meetup will be in English.
Participation is free of charge. Everyone is welcome! Our relaxed event will be only as good as everybody makes it. Registration is required!
