  • 2 Hrs - Volunteer for Hot Chocolate Stands Benefiting Children’s Cancer Center
    The Children’s Cancer Center (www.childrenscancercenter.org) will be hosting their annual “Panera Hot Chocolate Stands” sponsored by local Panera Bread cafés that have donated their hot chocolate to be sold. All the money raised through donations will go into our “Knead For Knowledge” Scholarship Fund that allows educational and financial support to many of our hematology and oncology children, as well as, our survivors. Shift Information: Friday, December 7th will offer 2 Volunteer shifts, one from 10am – 12noon and another from 12noon – 2:00pm. Saturday, December 8th will offer 2 Volunteer shifts, one from 10am – 12noon and another from 12noon – 2:00pm. Please go to this link, find a Panera location and shift(s) which work for you, and sign up at this website: http://signup.com/go/LstFJwT First come, first served so sign up now to volunteer at the location near you. Dress code: Please wear something festive and bring your holiday spirit! You will be given a Panera Bread Santa hat to wear!! Age: 21 or older. Tasks: Sell hot chocolate. Each Panera store will decorate a Hot Chocolate Stand, which will figure prominently either in front of or at the entrance to the store. When you arrive, the stand will be set up and ready to go! A dedicated Panera employee will be on hand to assist in any way needed, replenishing Hot Chocolate, etc.

    The Shabby Chic Shades of Pink event is hosted by The Florida Cancer Specialists Foundation on October 6, 2018 at Armature Works in Tampa, Florida. It is an evening of rustic elegance with dinner, dancing, auctions & entertainment! Training session : 4:30 pm to 5 pm. Volunteer is from 5:30 pm to 11 pm. You can take 1 hour break from 7:30 pm to 8:30 pm. Dress code : black pants. (a blue volunteer shirt provided by the charity) Please wear a comfortable and closed-toed shoes. Age : 21 or older. Tasks : Volunteers will assist in the registration of guests, greeting, selling raffle tickets, assisting/watching the silent auction, or assisting as needed throughout the event.   • Caladesi Island Hiking Adventure
    Pleas As requested :) come on out and join us to explore Caladesi Island Nature Trail. The island is accessible by ferry. We'll be taking the ferry from Honeymoon Island. The ferry trip takes 20 minutes and the duration of the hike is 3 miles. Suggested Items to Bring: Lot's of fun, water, binoculars, proper footwear, snack and your camera. Also, don't forget to bring some cash for parking, etc Cost of Ferry: $14. All fares are round trip. We might get a group discount. Meeting location: We'll be meeting at the Ferry/Marina in Honeymoon Island. Admission Fee/Parking: $ 4 – Single Occupant Vehicle. $ 8 – 2 to 8 people per vehicle Carpooling: If you would like to carpool, annotate it in the remarks section when RSVPing.   • Volunteer for Charity at the Gourmet Feastival!
    The 27th Annual Gourmet Feastival (http://www.thecentre.org/workshops-events/gourmet-feastival) SHIFT 3 (4 p.m. to 7 p.m.) : Volunteers will assist in the registration of guests and attendees, greeting and directing guests into the main hall, as well as assisting/watching the silent auction. Volunteers will be responsible for keeping vendor booths stocked, trash empty, and assisting as needed throughout the event. SHIFT 4 (7 p.m. to 10 p.m.) : We will need volunteers help to wrap-up the event and assist in clean-up and loading the Centre truck. This shift will require lifting, loading and packing/unpacking. Volunteers will also assist in silent auction check-out. Please indicate what your area(s) of interest are. These will also be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. Registration, Auction Attendant, Greeter, or Where Needed Age : 21 or older. Dress code : ALL BLACK with closed toed shoes. This fabulous food fest draws more than 1,000 hungry people each year who enjoy signature dishes from Tampa Bay’s finest restaurants and beverage purveyors. Yes, it’s a foodie heaven, with fabulous entertainment, and an impressive silent auction filled with unique items. When volunteers have free time, they are welcome to spend their time socializing with other guests and sampling free hors d'eouvres. All in all, it's a great social event for a great cause!
