Part 1: Isn't it always the way; I thought of the 'perfect' (well almost) thing to say after the fact. So here goes.

I do not remember a lot about my mother, but I do remember this; she had five children and no matter what, she loved us all. I lost her when I was fairly young, but I do remember that.

I was thinking we really should celebrate both Mothers and Fathers on their days; without one there would not be the other. So I also remember my father on this day. He always loved all of us too. Good, bad, or indifferent, success, or failure, they both always loved us and each other with all of their hearts.

I was lucky to have loving, nurturing parents. Not all of us are that lucky. So to those of you who may have missed out on that I say; celebrate all of the loving, nurturing people in your lives. Whether or not they are men or women, friends, children, or even that stranger who smiled at you or offered a helping hand. Celebrate them all.

Cat, I'm was so glad to hear your voice, thoughts and reflections when I opened my computer this morning! This particular Meetup was "right" in some many ways and hearing your words is one of those ways. Thanks!

We shared Mother memories, enjoyed a delicious brunch and got to know each other. It was a great way to celebrate Mother's Day!

I will bring a fruit salad that has a lime/mint dressing. Light (and loving) enough to work with about any menu. :-) Looking forward to sharing it with everyone.
