Tampa Drones hosts a various monthly meetups around the Tampa Bay area. We are like minded enthusiasts that gather from all around and meet other drone enthusiasts. Our members skill level range from a complete noobie to professional pilots from all walks of life

Open Fly Day @ Rowlett Park

This meetup is replacing the meetup that was happening at Ed Radice Park. This is a nice park with a couple ball fields and some shady areas for relaxing and flying FPV.

This meetup will be held at a large soccer field at Ed Radice park. Once entering the park, make the first left and head down to the end to find the soccer field. Have fun and make new friends!

We are doing it again! Bring your Phantoms, Inspires and Custom builds to our Open Fly Day event! This is a good opportunity to get out and get stick time to further enhance your comfort and skill level. Be surrounded by like minded enthusiasts and work out any issues you may have with the combined knowledge of our group. We expect everyone to have their drones registered with the FAA and follow all regulations set forth. That does not mean you cant participate! I can help you with all this and more during the event, including registering you with the AMA! We will begin staggering the weekends starting in Febuary for our Open Fly Day events. Meet and Tweak - Autonomous Drone Build Class @ TB Drones & Hobbies

Interested in learning how to build a drone? Join us every 1st Thursday for our drone building classes! We will be hosting our Meet and Tweak events at TB Drones and Hobbies off Ulmerton Rd in Largo FL! This week, we are assisting those of you who are using autonomous platforms, such as the Pixhawk and APM flight controllers! If you use Mission Planner or QGroundcontrol as your ground station, this class is for you! Come with your kits/parts and receive the help you need to get into the air! We will also be selling kits during the event that you can easily build and learn with. More details about this kit will be available at the meet. Classes are at most 2 hours long and the cost for the event is $20. There will be an instructor available at every event to assist with your build and an outdoor test and tune track will be made available.
