WWDC — short for WorldWide Developer Conference — is Apple's annual conference where they showcase new software and technologies for software developers, and typically when they pre-announce new operating systems and operating system versions. This year's WWDC took place from June 13 - 17, and introduced a number of new goodies, including a new versions of Swift, Xcode, iOS, and tvOS.

In the June 2016 edition of Tampa iOS Meetup, we'll:

• Present a review of what was announced at WWDC, with a particular focus on iOS and tvOS development

• Show you how to get your hands on the beta software, including Xcode 8 and iOS 10

• Take a look at the changes introduced in Swift 3, with an emphasis on where you may have to update your existing code

• Talk about what you'd like to see in upcoming Tampa iOS Meetup sessions

Come join us at the Tampa iOS Meetup on Tuesday, June 28th! Learn about iOS programming, meet your peers in the Tampa Bay area, and have some fun!

You don't have to be a very experienced iOS or Swift programmer for this meetup. If you've done a couple of iOS tutorials and can at least write a "Magic 8-ball" or "Tip calculator" app, you shouldn't have any trouble following. If you're new to Swift but have some programming experience in just about any language, whether it's Java, JavaScript, C#, Python, Ruby, or any other object-oriented programming language, you shouldn't have any trouble following the presentation. We'll make our presentation materials and code available at the end of our session...you won't leave empty-handed!

We'll have pizza at 6:30 p.m. with the presentation starting at 7:00. We hope to see you there!
