The person is given a "target" (which could be an object, person or event that is great distance away, in the past, or in the future) then utilizes the Remote Viewing protocol to gain descriptions and insights regarding this "target".
Remote Viewing was originally developed by the United States Military and Intelligence services as a means of gaining information about the enemy and was declassified in 1995.

Instructor – John Vivanco
John Vivanco began his Remote Viewing career shortly after it became declassified in 1995, and in the late 1990’s began working with Prudence Calabrese under Trans Dimensional Systems (TDS) as a professional Remote Viewer. Jointly running operations for the think tank, John trained and ran teams of remote viewers on projects ranging from corporate contracts, technology acquisition, the esoteric, counter-terror for the FBI and many other fields.
As a highly skilled Remote Viewer John was called on to demonstrate the process on TV news shows during his time with TDS. After the company closed down, John continued to run projects and do more work in the TV realm, the latest being with National Geographic using Remote Viewing to hunt treasure.
Currently he operates a team under Right Hemispheric (http://www.righthemispheric.com) and continues to work on Remote Viewing projects related to TV.
