Love from Dawn

Please be patient as we get this Virtual Vortex rolling - I am new to the Zoom world but I have every confidence that I can do this :) Today April 6th - Miles will be "here" speaking after which we will have Q&A as well as discussion time - then we will jump into Ask and it is Given (the book) - please have yours as you may be asked to read! I also recommend having a journal or notepad handy as you will probably want to take notes! Now more than ever we really need to grow our inner knowing - so let's do it!!! My story and reason why: Summer of 2010 On Aug 15th at approximately 4:15am “Dawn! Dawn wake up! Darren’s on the phone!"…. That was “the call that changed my life forever” and it came at 4:15 in the morning. "Brain injury...fractured skull...coma….lacerated spleen ….fractured ribs….fractured C1….internal bleeding…collapsed lung...jaws of life… helicopter…very serious... may not live.... Golden hour” You see, my eldest had just been in a car accident and to be blunt, they didn't think she would live. She was a 3 on the Glasco coma scale (15 is normal and 3 is the last rating before brain dead). She was a 7 hour drive away. It is during this drive and months to follow that I witnessed many miracles and began to intentionally practice the Law of Attraction in my life again. I remember on two occasions along the trip to the hospital that I began “slipping away” I could feel myself shutting down – after all what parent wants to experience this ? If I just bury my head maybe it will all go away?! Well, instead of shutting g down, I went deep deep inside and asked for help to get me through… I remember feeling like it wasn't me driving – I was well aware of everything but it felt like I was a puppet – that my body was being moved. At no point was I fearful – quite the opposite actually – I felt completely safe and in control- I do realize that sounds like a contradiction but I assure you I know what I am, saying lol. Another thing I realized was that “if there was such a thing as divine timing” then this was it! I had to drive right through Toronto… had it been any other day or time we would have lost precious hours…. Hours we didn't have… she may not even make it another hour let alone 5,6 or 7 hours. But since the timing was perfectly orchestrated by the universe, it was a Sunday and it was 7am…. We flew through Toronto and all the way to the hospital in 5 hours!! Now, once we arrived at the hospital, I encountered another miracle – she was still alive! She was in a medically induced coma with a grim prognosis BUT she was alive and that is all I needed! For the next 6 weeks I only left her side if my mother, sister or her boyfriend was with her. There was no way I would leave her alone – day in and day out we used positive affirmations, told the doctors that she was a fighter, posted positive information on fb – actually I publicly announced on fb that I refuse to allow any negative posts – everyone was completely supportive – I used fb as my family and friends support page – everyone could follow her progress here and they did!! I also printed a picture of Talya (show the picture) and posted it above her hospital bed – I wanted her to be a person not just the girl in a coma in the ICU. It worked, nurses and doctors saw this beautiful person as perfect whole and complete. She was no longer just this cold body full of tubes, cables and machines that they took care of. You see, I painted the picture of Talya that I wanted them to see. Talya s picture became a vision board of sorts – and EVERYONE saw it! I – we knew that Talya would live. We knew it. Not once did we lose that belief - don't get me wrong we cried and worried everyday BUT our belief in her living was the predominant energy. We were told: 1. If she ever comes out of this coma she will never walk or talk again. Trust me – she walks and talk? Oh can she talk – and she is brilliant. 2. Due to the damage in the frontal lobe (executive) she will never be able to co-ordinate her life – now, granted she gets overwhelmed with things most days BUT she functions quite well 3. She will most likely have blurred vision and hearing problems – she has perfect hearing and vision 4. her verbal filter may not work…. Now THIS is 100% accurate!!! She says what she feels. No matter what. This event eventually brought me to Florida where I am a full time resident. I never opened my hands on healing part of my business again – after three years of bringing Talya back to life, I no longer had the desire to give that much of myself anymore. I still want to heal people so I find myself leading workshops, volunteering at Wings and most recently facilitating a study Group on the law of Attraction. The most important take aways for me: Ask and it is Given – when I needed help driving What you think about you bring about – her healing Everything happens for a reason – it eventually gave me the freedom to move to Florida Everything is divinely guided at the perfect time and place – the time of the accident Vision Boards work – her picture above the hospital bed All that was to say, I have first hand experience living in the RMH - it was the only thing that made me feel like I was a little bit normal - it allowed me to feel like I could give my youngest a sense of "home" in a time when there was nothing normal. I would be more than happy to share more of my story but this isn't the time... Please join me and help prepare a meal for families that are looking for a sense of home (which includes home cooked meals). I am attaching details below - I would like to make this a regular event on Love from Dawn and I can't do it without you! If you choose to join me, please note that this involves both a financial investment and time investment - we need to provide the food and the time to make it. It does not need to be expensive but it will cost something. Following is the RMH "Rules" Food must be prepared on our site or in a licensed food establishment or commercial kitchen. Plan to cook for 20-25 people (dinner) or 15 (breakfast or lunch). Please limit your group to 5-6 participants. Participants must be a least 14 years of age. *Teens 14+ years who cook must have one adult supervisor (over 21 yrs. of age) per five teens. If you would like your teen to receive service hours for the meal please contact Ann at[masked] IN ADVANCE of the scheduled meal for approval. Meal donors should bring all the ingredients for their meal with them. We receive many pasta dishes--look over menu and try not to duplicate meals within that week. No alcohol is allowed on site. Parking is available in the West Parking Garage of Bayfront Hospital, directly across the street. Normal serving time for dinner is 6:30 p.m.; please arrive with sufficient time to prepare your meal. Please clean the kitchen thoroughly after use. *Please do not come to RMH if you have a cold or other illness. Tours of RMH will be given upon request. To cancel or make changes once you have taken a date, contact Ann at[masked], Monday thru Friday between 10am and 4pm. Consider including a fresh fruit donation too!
