Details:

TeamAIDAsha is an annual marathon/half-marathon training and fund-raising program jointly organized by the volunteers from Boston/MIT chapters of Association for India's Development (AID) and Asha for Education. We train runners for their full or half marathon races (DC Marine Corps Marathon, Lowell half/full marathon) and runners raise donations for AID and Asha.

Over the last 13 years we have helped more than 300 runners to finish full/half marathons and raise more than $750,000 for grassroots social development and educational projects in India. We are preparing for a bigger and better season this year.

At this FREE information session you can learn all about the training and fund-raising from our coaches, alumni runners and volunteers.

Please share this event with any of your friends and family members who may be interested. Everyone is welcome, no prior running or fund-raising experience required.

    Parking was issue

Yes, you may have to drive around for a few mins to find parking near MIT. Try Memorial drive (free), Mass Ave (metered) and Vassar Street (metered). Also, other back roads away from MIT will have more open slots. In a few weeks we will move our location to Somerville, it is a bit easier to find parking there.

Hi everyone, would peeps be interested in running together during the week? I live in Somerville close to the Somerville high school/ winter hill area, so proximity to the neighborhood is a kinda sorta given. We could work out other time/ availability details. Holler back if you're up for it!

FYI: We can also make an announcement at the group runs to match people from same area/preferred running time etc.
