For this month's Cinjug, we will solve a fun programming challenge to illustrate different approaches and their benefits and drawbacks. For example, using loops vs an alternative. This will be a group activity, so we will be doing a little MOB development. If you have a laptop and can bring it, we could break things up a bit and work in groups.
In order to spend time talking through the solutions and their differences, I am looking for volunteers to solve the problem before the meeting, just in case we run out of time. If you can volunteer, please respond to this posting or direct email me ( [masked] ). We will concentrate on the first problem, but if we have time, we will cover the second problem.
Here are the two problems we can work through.
1) Create a Fibonacci number generator, put in a number and get the Fibonacci numbers up to that number... we will use the definition of Fibonacci number sequence that is 0, 1, 1, 2, 3,... as opposed to 1,1,2,3,...
Input: An integer
Output: Array of integers
2) Dice roller - https://www.reddit.com/r/dailyprogrammer/comments/8s0cy1/20180618_challenge_364_easy_create_a_dice_roller/
