JumpStart: 'Finding the Capital You Need'

Collaborate with the like-minded technology professionals who are looking to make waves in the technology world. BDPA meetups encourage fun, socializing and high level talks on a variety of technology topics. IT recruiters, entrepreneurs, job seekers and students are all welcome.

Every business needs capital to grow—but getting that funding in place can be a challenge. JumpStart's Johnny Hutton ( - has worked with an array of early stage companies to secure resources. He’ll share some of the ways and places tech entrepreneurs can pursue capital to grow their ventures in Northeast Ohio—including bootstrapping, community funds, federal grants, micro-loans, angel investments and venture capital. JumpStart vice president Johnny Hutton is a serial entrepreneur who will provide a very informative presentation that will engage current and prospective entrepreneurs needing to get “plugged in” to the investment ecosystem.

Johnny Hutton brings is an experienced executive and serial entrepreneur with more than 19 years of business consulting, software, hospitality, information technology and construction industry startup leadership experience. Most recently, he founded MTH Consulting, a management and business development firm that served companies in Cleveland and Columbus for five years. Johnny attended Morehouse College in Atlanta.

This meeting is open to any professional discipline with interest in IT.
